When I started this company in 1989, with my three month old baby in tow, I had a clear vision of the feeling I wanted to invoke in you, my clients; to make you feel lucky to live in your home; a cozy warm, beautiful and inviting place. As a designer, my philosophy is simple, your home should reflect YOU the people who live there, not the designer or decorator you worked with.
I've always believed that my job is to come up with great designs that are within your budget and my responsibility is to get that job done as timely as possible, to your complete satisfaction. My commitment is to service. “Good enough” is not in my vocabulary, because “good enough” is simply NOT good enough; my very best is what I work for because I believe you deserve the very best.
Throughout the more than 25 years, it has been a privilege to help so many wonderful families and businesses address the functional issues of their space, as well as creating the design and aesthetics necessary to achieve a place that feels good. For my homeowners, it's making sure that they are comfortable in their home and that it reflects them as well as creating a warm and cozy retreat. For my business owners, it's about making your business or office an inviting place for your clients to dine, or come to visit you for your professional services and make your work as efficient as possible. Your 'space' says a lot about you. I work hard to make sure that your clients are receiving the desired message you want them to while in your work place.
In addition to working with wonderful clients throughout the years, I have been blessed to enjoy other aspects of a designer’s work. Being published is always a wonderful boost to one’s career! I have been fortunate to have had my company and our work featured in numerous magazines and newspapers, see Media. For seven years I wrote, recorded and produced my own radio commercials. What a hoot! Not only doing the work, but the result. I will never forget one time in particular. I was standing in my local Shop Rite chatting with someone and my radio commercial came on. Suddenly a little girl was tugging at my skirt as she said: “Hey lady, did you know you’re Julie’s Interior Designs?” Ah… out of the mouths from the 'ears' of babes! It was great fun developing such a strong presence in my community, for business AND fun! I was also invited to be a guest at multiple radio stations for call in talk shows to give decorating and design advice.
My Mom, may she rest in peace, always said that hard work and full effort will eventually be noticed and rewarded. Mom was right again! As a woman, a wife, mother, designer and business owner it is VERY important to me that my clients know just how much my work means to me. This is not just a job; it is a lifestyle, one that I am immensely proud of. Making my clients happy brings me tremendous joy. It is equally important to me that you know that when you work with Julie's Interior Designs, you are working with dedicated, talented professionals. From Prep Design to seamstresses, customer service to installers, we all work toward one goal, to help our clients achieve the home of their dreams!
